So close and yet so......!!!!

Well as Dave mentioned I got a call on Monday night to say it was all go for a transplant, got the ok from the docs here in Wellington and up in Auckland where the kidney is to say that everything was on track were just waiting oin a biopsy which is an usual thing for them to do apparently but they must've had a reason. Kidney l;ooked good and they had booked into the ward and had set up atime to go into the operating theatre. Unfortunately the Biopsy came up with a bad result and so another call at 1.30 in the morning was made to tell me it was off. Yes I was shattered, went through a whole lot of emotions even before that final call. Day got worse when for the first time since training I couldn't get the needles in properly, hopefully this is more to do with emoptions getting the better of me rather than poor technique., so a day off dialysis today and down to the movie theatre to see Prince Caspian. Enabled me to cool down and reflect a bit more while watching Peter, Edmond ,and Susan as well as Lucy go about killing people. What it means is that there is a chance that there may be a donor for me out there and considering I had only been on the list less than 6 months some people have been on the list for a number of years and never had the opportunity. Life goes on and so does the dialysis treatment, Life at the moment is a prick, two of them actually in the arm just got to remember to get that technique right.So I have gone from feeling pretty downhearted to lets get on with it learn the treatment and wait for that kidney that is at least a little bit closer every day....!!!!
